Dorothea (Dora) Elizabeth Toovey (1898 - 1986) was an Australian artist. She was born in New South Wales. She received her education in art at the Royal Art Society School in Sydney, the National Gallery School in Melbourne, and the Academie Julian in Paris. Her artistic skills extended to portraiture and landscapes, which she depicted using oil as her primary medium. Dora Toovey's contributions to the art scene in Australia were recognized when she won the prestigious Portia Geach Memorial Award in 1970 and 1978. Besides these, she also won many other prizes for her artistic excellence in regional New South Wales.
